Alice McEntarfer Pierce, 100, of Camden, South Carolina, passed away peacefully on July 5, 2026, surrounded by her family and loved ones.
Alice was born on March 7, 1926, in Union City, Pennsylvania, to Owen and Ida McEntarfer. She was raised in Panama, New York, where she met the love of her life, Harold Pierce. Together they shared 60 wonderful years of marriage.
Alice found her greatest joy in spending time with her family. She also loved traveling, playing cards, and was an avid reader throughout her life. She was an exceptional pie baker whose homemade pies became a treasured tradition for family and friends, always made with love and eagerly anticipated at gatherings. A devoted Christian, Alice faithfully served the Lord and was deeply committed to the church. She taught Sunday School for many years and touched countless lives through her faith.
Alice is survived by her daughters, Connie (Mike) Casey and Amy (Wayne) Seifert; her grandchildren, Stacy Easler, Becky (David) Ribelin, Aron (Carolyn) Casey, Mackenzie (Devrick) Phillips, and Colleen (Travis) Larson; 11 great-grandchildren; several special nieces and nephews; and many other beloved family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Harold Pierce; her son, Dennis Pierce; and her siblings, Richard McEntarfer, Eileen Feldner, Frances Karvelis, and Elinor Sturges.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date at Lyttleton Street United Methodist Church in Camden, South Carolina. Burial will take place at Panama Union Cemetery in Panama, New York.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to MSA Hospice, 2560 Tahoe Drive, Sumter, SC 29150, or Lyttleton Street United Methodist Church, 1206 Lyttleton Street, Camden, SC 29020.
