Angelymar Cruz Acevedo “Angie” Morrison, died on Monday, February 6, 2023. She was born 41 years ago at Ft. Hood in Killeen, TX, the daughter of Martha Cruz Acevedo and Angel L. Cruz Soto who gave her the loving nickname of “Chuleta” (porkchop).
In addition to her parents, Angelymar is survived by her husband, Joshua “Josh” Morrison; sister, Maryann Cruz (Brian McComas) of Columbia, SC; nephew, Angel C. McComas; and special cousin, Angel Emanuel Acevedo of Columbia, SC.
We ask that the family's privacy be respected regarding the cause of Angie’s death as the circumstances are incomprehensible.
Angie graduated from Richland Northeast High School, Class of 2000. Following graduation, she graduated with a degree in Architectural Design and was an AutoCAD specialist. She met the love of her life while enjoying one of her favorite activities and they married in Camden, SC at a beautiful location on March 10, 2012. Angie was the most selfless, genuine, and rare soul who demonstrated her unique capacity to unite others from her earliest scuffs with her little sister, Maryann (aka, “Lagartija” or lizard), to the largest celebrations when she united families in the most auspicious and extravagantly decorated spaces that took each person to magical worlds like an Egyptian Thanksgiving and a Game of Thrones wedding in the backyard.
She was the most loving, colorful, selfless, extroverted-introvert that has ever or will ever exist.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, February 11, 2023 at 12:00 PM at Kornegay Funeral Home, Lugoff-Elgin Chapel. Those who wish to celebrate Angie’s life and legacy may make gifts to https://gofund.me/55fcc6fa.
