Billy Bell

Funeral services to honor the life of Billy Bell will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, August 10, 2024, at Kornegay Funeral Home, Lugoff-Elgin Chapel, 1139 Highway 1 South, Lugoff, with a visitation to follow the service.  Rev. Dr. Mark Hopkins will officiate. Burial with Military Honors rendered by the US Army will be held at Fort Jackson National Cemetery on Wednesday, August 14, 2024 at 1:00 PM.

Billy Fields Bell passed away on August 3, 2024. Born in Powhatan, WV, he was the son of the late John Fields Bell and Edna Watkins Bell.  Billy was a long-time West Virginia Mountaineer and NY Yankees fan who dearly loved his grandchildren and family.  Billy proudly served as a US Army Airborne Ranger in Vietnam and retired from the South Carolina Department of Corrections.

Billy is survived by his wife, Vickie Hottenstein Bell; daughter, Heather Bell, sons, Christopher Bell, Shane Bell, Andrew Bell (Leigha), and Charles Bell; grandchildren, Dakota, Bryson, Brandon, Austin, Brooklyn, Kaylee, and Leelan; and great-grandchild, Kinsley.

Kornegay Funeral Home, Lugoff-Elgin Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
