Blackie Phill Cunningham, loving husband, father & doting grandfather, passed away peacefully at home on December 2, 2025 after a short but courageous battle with cancer.
Born on August 12, 1956 to the late James Otis & Grace Isabel (Goff) Cunningham, Phill attended Camden High School and later worked as a contract welder until he retired. Nothing made him happier than cutting his grass, playing pool in his garage, his family or his faithful lap dogs Remi & Bella.
He recently was baptized at Emmanuel Baptist Church and came to know the Lord intimately in his final months.
He is survived by his loving wife of over 20 years, Cynthia Jordan Cunningham, son Phill Duncan Cunningham (Jessica), stepdaughter Melissa Martin DeLaTorre (Charles), niece Chloe Nicole Jordan and his beautiful grandchildren: Jordan, Madi, Josie and Tuck. He also leaves behind siblings Patty, Dean, Ralph and numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.
Blackie "Phill" was predeceased by his parents, siblings Dot, James, Betty, Willard, Mackie, Wayne, Jackie, Jean, Stan & Allen.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, December 7th, 2025 at 3:00 PM at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 1643 McRae Road, Camden. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Family will receive visitors in the sanctuary one hour prior to service.
Kornegay Funeral Home, Camden Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
