A memorial service for Cecil Morris Lachicotte will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 12, 2024 at All Saints Church Cemetery, 3560 Kings River Road, Pawley’s Island, SC 29585. Cecil died on Wednesday, September 25, 2024. Born in Camden, SC, Cecil was the son of the late George Pitt Lachicotte and Lucile Elton Morris Lachicotte.
Cecil Lachicotte was the richest man on the planet when it came to experiences. From bare back bronc riding to shooting Sandhill crane and cinnamon teal in Mexico and even backing down a bear in Alaska, all with pictures of proof. He had an infectious smile. Not only smiling with his mouth but his whole face so everyone could tell that the smile came from your heart. That smile will always be etched in all of our minds. We are forever grateful for the stories you have told, the time we spent together, and for the bond we shared. We hope there is endless fields of birds and rivers full of fish up there for you.
Cecil is survived by his daughters, Margaret Lachicotte Whitfield (Andy) and Laura Simmons Lachicotte (fiancé, Cole McElroy); grandson, Milo Wiese Whitfield; granddaughter on the way, Cecilia; sister, Elton Lachicotte; brother, George P. Lachicotte, Jr.; nephew, Trey Lachicotte; and niece, Charlene Anne Lachicotte.
In addition to his parents, Cecil was predeceased by his sister, Lloyd Lachicotte.
