Graveside memorial services for Donald Edward “Donnie” Outen, 67,will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, March 6, 2026, at Lugoff First Baptist Church Cemetery, 106 Longtown Rd, Lugoff, SC 29078. Jared Wigton will officiate. Memorials may be made to Thiel-Meyer Animal Shelter, 128 Black River Rd, Camden, SC 29020, or http://kchumanesociety.org/.
Donnie passed away on Saturday, February 28, 2026. He was born in Camden, SC the son of the late Jerry Venroe Outen and the late Juanita Howle Outen.
Donnie was a humble and steadfast man whose quiet strength and kindness touched all who knew him. His ever-present smile and infectious belly laugh brought joy to family and friends.
He loved playing tennis, golf, and baseball, and was devoted to coaching his children’s teams. A loyal supporter of Clemson University, he proudly said his blood ran orange.
Donnie is survived by his wife, Wynne Myers Outen; daughter, formerly Georgia Britton Outen and her husband, Jared Wigton of Fort Bragg, NC; son, Chief Donald Edward “Donnie” Outen, Jr., US Navy, (Eve Areeya), of Jacksonville, FL; grandchildren, Samuel Myers Wigton, Anne Vera Wigton, John Thomas Wigton, and sister, Debbie Outen Carter (Jimmy).
In addition to his parents, Donnie was predeceased by his eldest daughter, Leslie Wynne Outen and brother, Van Outen.
