Edward Earl “Eddie” Arrington, Jr., age 77, died on Friday, June 26, 2026. A visitation will be held Wednesday, July 1, 2026, from 6-7:00PM at Kornegay Funeral Home, Camden Chapel, 1112 Fair Street, Camden, SC 29020.
Eddie was born in Camden, SC, the son of the late Edward Earl Arrington and the late Dorothy Smith Arrington. Eddie is lovingly survived by his devoted wife of 52 years, Deborah "Debbie" Napper Arrington; his beloved daughter, Elizabeth Arrington Rogers (Michael), of Rock Hill; and his granddaughter, Riley Belk, of Rock Hill, who brought him endless joy and pride.
A dedicated public servant with a generous heart, Eddie faithfully served the Camden Fire Department for 16 years and also volunteered with the Antioch Fire Department, where he proudly served as Fire Chief. He later retired from the United States Postal Service after many years as a dependable mail carrier, known for his strong work ethic, friendly smile, and the relationships he built along his route.
Eddie was a kind, humble, and hardworking man who never met a stranger. He had a wonderful sense of humor and was always ready with a joke or a playful story to make others laugh. His quick wit, infectious smile, and easygoing nature brought joy to family, friends, and everyone fortunate enough to know him. Whether he was sharing stories, lending a helping hand, or simply enjoying time with those he loved, Eddie made people feel welcome and valued.
He found great happiness in the simple pleasures of life—hunting, fishing, woodworking, and cooking for family and friends. More than anything, Eddie treasured the time he spent with his loved ones. He will be remembered for his loving heart, unwavering devotion to his family, steadfast service to his community, and the laughter, kindness, and countless happy memories he leaves behind. His legacy of love, generosity, and good humor will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
