Glenda Singleton

Funeral services for Glenda Loree Huckabee Singleton will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, September 14, 2024, at Kornegay Funeral Home, Camden Chapel, 1112 Fair Street. Visitation with family will be one hour prior to the service, from 1:00-2:00 PM.  Burial at Damascus United Methodist Church Cemetery, 4118 Damascus Church Road, Westville, will follow.  Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at stjude.org.

Glenda, daughter of Irma Cauthen Huckabee and the late Julius Milton Huckabee, died on Wednesday, September 11, 2024. Surrounded by her loving family in her final moments, she was a woman full of love and resilience and she touched the lives of all who knew her. She was a lady who never traveled anywhere without her lipstick. More than anything in the world she loved to be on the beach with the sun and sound of waves crashing in the background. She was loved so deeply and will be greatly missed. 

Other than her mother, Glenda is survived by her husband of 27 years, Wayne Hinson; daughter, Ashley Elizabeth Sanders (Patrick) of Camden; son, Alex Singleton (Cassie) of Camden; grandchildren, Mills Sanders, Coker Sanders, and Sailor, Clarke and Gunner Singleton; and sisters, Gail Branham (Gene) of Westville, Joyce Young (Bobby) of Westville, and Cheryl Helms (Steve) of Kershaw.

Kornegay Funeral Home, Camden Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
