James Clarence Hamilton

Memorial services for James Clarence Hamilton, 79, will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, November 27, 2021 at Pisgah Baptist Church. Rev. Russ McDonald will officiate. Memorials may be made to American Legion Auxiliary Post 6, 200 Pickens Street #6, Columbia, SC 29205 or American Legion Post #17, 1333 Chestnut Ferry Road, Camden, SC 29020.

James died Saturday, November 6, 2021. Born in Bear Lake, PA, he was the son of the late Otto Clarence and Wilberta Davis Hamilton. He was an Air Force Veteran, having served in the early years of Vietnam. Following his military service, James was employed by Crescent-Exelite,in Sumter, SC, for 35+ years. He was a member of Pisgah Baptist Church.

Surviving are his wife of 55 ½ years, Carolyn Van Ord Hamilton; son, Dennis John Hamilton (Mendie), of Wyoming, MI and granddaughter, Kora Belle Hamilton.

James was predeceased by a son, Derrick Hamilton.
