Funeral services for James Robert Wilder, 80, will be held at 11:00 AM on December 28, 2023, at Kornegay Funeral Home, Camden Chapel. Burial at Ft. Jackson National Cemetery will follow at 1:00 PM. December 28, 2023. Rev. David Brannen will officiate. James passed away on December 16, 2023. He was born in Columbus, OH to the late Noah Virgil and Hazel Cheek Wilder. James was a United States Marine Veteran who served in Vietnam.
James is survived by his wife of 56 years, Virginia Mae Bowen Wilder; children, Letha Williford (Dennis), of Camden, Robert Shane Wilder (Shirl), of Greenville, SC, James Matt Wilder (Amy) of Belle Chasse, LA; grandchildren, Cory Flygare (Huriya), Ethan Welch, Kelly Welch, Mackenzie Wilder, Halin Miklas; great-granddaughter, Olivia Flygare; sisters, Bernice Boyer (Don), of Bend, OR, Melissa Wilder of Columbus, OH, and Vicky Babbit, of Bend, OR; and numerous nieces and nephews.
James was predeceased by his sisters, Elizabeth Coble and Sally Lovett.
