Memorial services for Jean R. Loving, 91, will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, April 25, 2026 at St. Timothy’s Lutheran Church, 1301 Mill Street, Camden. Reverend Roy Butler will officiate. The family will greet guests after the service in the fellowship hall. Memorials may be made in Jean’s memory to the Angel Fund at https://www.johnstonhealthfoundation.org/home/make-a-donation/.
Jean was born on June 25, 1934, in Charlotte, NC, daughter of the late Edmund E. Robinson and the late Mildred Eaves Robinson. Jean earned her degree in nursing at the Medical College of Nursing, choosing to provide care and support to the community with her professional abilities. Jean and her husband resided in a number of cities, and she was active in many professional and volunteer efforts wherever she was located. Her last endeavor was as a volunteer at the Rex Healthcare Breast Cancer Center educating and nurturing women who, like her, were breast cancer patients.
Jean is survived by her husband, W.M. “Will” Loving, Jr.; children, Robin Loving McAlpine (Jim) of Camden, and David E. Loving (Missy), of Dayton, Kentucky; grandchildren, Jim, III (Elizabeth), David (Katie), Allison (Michael), Lexi (Eric), Emi (Tanner), Addi; great-grandchildren, Emmitt, Rowan, Eli, Ellawyn, James, Phillip, Thomas, Harris, John Thomas, Jones.
In addition to her parents, Jean was predeceased by her sister, Mary Ann Robinson.
