Jean McLaughlin Thomas Obituary

Jean McLaughlin Thomas, 74, died Tuesday, February 3, 2026. Born in Florence, SC, she was the daughter of the late Peter Willard McLaughlin and the late Vivian Spradley McLaughlin. She earned her bachelor's degree from Coker College and went on to be a schoolteacher.

Jean is survived by her husband of 50 years, Robert Brannon Thomas, Sr.; son, Robert “Brannon” Thomas, Jr. (Emily), of Camden, and her sister, Mary Wilson Altman (Larry), of Lynchburg, SC.

A private family service will be held at a later date.

Kornegay Funeral Home, Camden Chapel, is assisting the family.
