Miss Jennette Lynn Watts passed away on October 19, 2021 at Roper Hospice Cottage in Mt. Pleasant, SC. She was a loving and kind person who touched the lives of everyone she met, and who always made those around her feel comfortable and welcome.
Jennette was a passionate, kind, and caring young lady with many talents. She was in the Beta Club In High School, She played on the tennis team. While there, she also played trumpet in the school band. She took piano lessons and played the piano with great skill. She danced the ballet with grace and flowing movements. Jennette taught Bible school at several churches and encouraged the children to follow Jesus.
While attending Winthrop University, Jennette was active in the ZTA sorority and the Winthrop ambassador program that gave tours to perspective students and their parents. Jennette graduated from Winthrop University with an undergraduate degree and later, received her Master's degree in Early Childhood Education. She taught four-year-old children for over fourteen years in church schools. She loved working with the children and taught them many educational skills that were driven by her love for Jesus.
Jennette was extremely intelligent as demonstrated by her inquisitive mind and lively conversations. She thought deeply about many important life issues and enjoyed discussing them. Jennette loved visiting her relatives and friends. She was always full of enthusiasm and joy as she sought to love everyone and treat people the way Jesus would. Jennette loved taking care of animals, especially dogs. Jennette was a beautiful young lady and a loving, thoughtful daughter and friend that I loved dearly. Jennette was trustworthy and truthful and when she spoke, people listened to everything she said. She knew thousands of people and cared deeply for each one of them. Jennette had a calm, assured, and confident countenance that flowed with God's spiritual presence in her heart.
She left a legacy of beauty and love that will live on. We will all miss her because she was one of a kind who made us feel loved and accepted. She is in Heaven now with her loved ones and is enjoying no pain and a feeling of freedom in Christ.
