Jerry Carrol Way, Jr.

A visitation for Jerry Carrol Way, Jr. will be held on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, from 5:00pm – 6:30pm at Kornegay Funeral Home, Lugoff-Elgin Chapel, 1139 Hwy 1 South, Lugoff, SC.  Memorial contributions may be made to Boston University for CTE and/or a dementia foundation of your choice.

Jerry passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Monday, July 6, 2026.  He was born in Sumter, SC, on November 23, 1957, son of the late Mable Lee Mason Way and Jerry Carrol Way.

Jerry is survived by his daughters, Lauren Smith (Jason), and Amanda Roberts (Johnny “JR”), both of Lugoff; grandchildren, Ty Smith, Kyle Smith, Ryleigh Roberts, and Haylee Roberts; sisters, Terry Berthelette (J.P.) and Sherry Morrow (Doug), both of Lugoff; nieces, and nephews, Tyler Berthelette, DJ and Jeremy Morrow, Angel Shirley, and Jessica Rabon.

In addition to his parents, Jerry was predeceased by his sister, Susie Rabon, and brother-in-law, Shelly Rabon.
