John died Friday, July 23, 2021. Born in Glasgow, Scotland, he was the son of the late James and Elizabeth Bradley Martin. John served in both the Royal Air Force and the United States Air Force and worked as a recovery counselor. John “Scotty” Martin was known for his quick wit, sense of humor, and passion for life. He was a dedicated runner who ran several marathons, a world traveler with his wife and kids, and he helped give many people a second chance at life as a recovery counselor. His memorable storytelling, winning smile, and sense of humor delighted all who knew him. With a Scottish accent and a jovial laugh that filled a room, his warming presence was felt wherever he went.
