John Simpson

Graveside services for John Brissey Simpson, 80, will be held Sunday, March 10, 2024, at the Church of the Ascension Cemetery at 1:00 PM.  Rev. Father Joel Osborne will officiate.  Memorials may be made to the Church of the Ascension, 5190 Highway 261, Rembert, SC 29128.

John Brissey Simpson died on February 24, 2024.  He was the son of the late James B. and Katherine Brissey Simpson.  John served in the United States Navy and was assigned to the USS Intrepid, CVS-11. He then was employed by Life of Georgia where he retired.  John continued to work as a delivery driver for O’Reilly Auto Parts where he made dear friends and had many adventures.

John is survived by his brother, Gary Simpson, and wife (Rene Simpson), of Arden, NC, and their family.

Other than his parents, John was predeceased by his wife of 54 years, Susan Potts Simpson, and brother, Ron S. Simpson.
