Joseph Earlie "Buddy" Stevens

Memorial services for Joseph Earlie “Buddy” Stevens, will be held at 3:00 PM on Thursday, February 5, 2026, at Kornegay Funeral Home, Camden Chapel.  A visitation will be held 1 hour prior.  Reverend Jed Stevens will officiate.  Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

Buddy, son of the late Earlie Stevens and the late Marie Denton Stevens, died on Friday, January 30, 2026.  Buddy was the owner Camden Upholstery Shop.  He loved his family and was known to us as Poppa.  He loved the Lord his Savior and was ready to reunite with his Mama and Daddy.  He was an amazing cook and loved to make sure everyone went home full.  Poppa loved well and was well loved.

Buddy is survived by his wife of 66 years, Brenda Langley Stevens; children, Gregg Williams, of Bishopville, Jody Stevens (Betsy), of Greer, Kip Stevens (Connie), of Camden; grandchildren, Gregg, Brock, Lance, DeAnne, Lane, Jed, Brennan, Savannah; 13 great-grandchildren; sisters, Juanita Caulder, of  Camden, Louise Newman (Jimmy), of Camden, Mazie Harrell, of Camden,  Ruth Arledge (Sonny), of Camden; numerous nieces and nephews, and his caregiver, Carolyn D. Miller, our adopted sister.

Other than his parents, Buddy was predeceased by his sisters, Margie Price, Lesa Mae Parrott, Maggie German; infants, Betty Sue Stevens and Baby Stevens; brother, Robert Stevens, and son-in-law, Clay Williams.

Kornegay Funeral Home, Camden Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
