Funeral services for Joyce Rodgers Piper will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, March 22, 2023, at Kornegay Funeral Home, Camden Chapel, 1112 Fair Street, Camden. Father John Zimmerman will officiate. Visitation will follow the service until 4:00 PM. Interment will be at Fort Jackson National Cemetery at 9:00 AM on Thursday, March 23, 2023. Father Joseph, Shaw Air Force Base, will officiate. Joyce, the wife of Ralph E. Piper, died on Saturday, March 18, 2023. She was the daughter of the late Ruth Outlaw and Master Willard Rodgers.

In addition to her husband, Joyce is survived by her children, Tracy Marion Kugel (Kevin) of Caledonia, MS, Shawn Renee Hall (David) of Cassatt, Brandy Piper Johnston (Michael) of Williamsburg, VA, and Ralph Edward Piper II (Kayla) of Kalamazoo, MI; grandchildren, Kevin Kugel, Joshua Kugel, David Hall, Pyper Johnston, Aleric Piper, Kiera Piper, and Cai Piper; and nieces and nephew, Tonya Hayes, Trey Rodgers, Karen Haskett, and Anita Mulligan.

Joyce was predeceased by her sisters, Lavina Sterzinger and Peggy Collins, and her brother, Willard Rodgers.

Kornegay Funeral Home, Camden Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
