Loyda Creel Wardlaw

Funeral services for Loyda Creel Wardlaw, 85, will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, August 2, 2023, at New Hope Baptist Church with burial to follow in Liberty Hill Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Pastor Lyn Hill will officiate. The family will receive friends Tuesday, August 1, 2023, from 6:00 to 7:30 PM at Kornegay Funeral Home, Camden Chapel. Memorials may be made in Mrs. Wardlaw’s memory to New Hope Baptist Church, 9025 Liberty Hill Road, Camden, SC 29020.

Loyda Creel Wardlaw passed away Friday, July 28, 2023. She was born in Pensacola, FL, to the late James Newton and Lorraine Jones Creel.

Loyda is survived by her children, Robert James “Jimmy” Wardlaw, IV, of Camden, John Michael Wardlaw (Jennifer), of Charleston, Teresa “Tooti” Wardlaw (Connie) of Columbia; grandchildren, Charles M. Wardlaw, Jr. (Brooke), Bryan Wardlaw (Jessica), Brittany Couch (Eric), Alexis Glover (Nick), Taylor Cox, Brady Cox, great-grandchildren, Charles M. Wardlaw, III (Trip), Harper Rose, Grayson, Mila, Ryder, Rylee, and Lilah.

Loyda was predeceased by her husband, Robert James “Jimmy” Wardlaw, III, and son, Charles M. Wardlaw, Sr., and his wife, Theresa B. Wardlaw.

Kornegay Funeral Home, Camden Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
