Marie Hayes Amos

A funeral service to celebrate the life of Marie Hayes Amos, 87, of Lugoff will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at Springvale Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Todd Horton and Woodie Dixon will officiate. The family will receive friends at the church at 1:00 PM, one hour prior to the service. Marie died Friday, February 5, 2021. Born in Lugoff, she was the daughter of the late B.H. and Eva Jackson Hayes, and was married to the late Charles R. Amos for 59 years. Marie was a member of Springvale Baptist Church.

She is survived by her children, J. David Amos of Lugoff and Susan Lee Amos Herron (Robert) of Rock Hill; and grandchildren, Caroline, Cameron, and Chandler Lee Herron.

In addition to her parents and husband, Marie was predeceased by her sister, Thelma Hayes Branham and brother, Frank Hayes.
