Marion Alford

Funeral Services for Marion Emmi Alford will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, May 29, 2025 at St. Timothy’s Lutheran Church, 1301 Mill Street, Camden, SC. Rev. Roy Butler will officiate. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service, from 9:00-10:00 AM.  Burial at Fort Jackson National Cemetery will follow at 12:00 Noon.

Marion, wife of Albert Alford, passed away on Saturday, May 24, 2025. Born in Kulmain Germany, Marion was the daughter of the late Erna Friessl Meichner and Richard Meichner.

In addition to her husband of 26 years, Marion is survived by her daughter, Selina Ruckriegel (Tony) of Kulmain Germany; son, Marvin Felder of Kulmain Germany; grandchildren, Samuel and Amalia Ruckriegel; and sisters, Christine Meichner, Isolde Hutzler (Norbert), and Claudia Eiser (Udo).
