Martin Richard Montgomery

Memorial services for Martin Richard Montgomery, will be held at 12:00 PM, noon on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at Kornegay Funeral Home, Camden Chapel.  Reverend Gerald Montgomery will officiate.  Memorials may be made to New Restoration Temple, 1953A Bishopville Highway, Camden, SC 29020.

Martin, son of the late Richard Montgomery and Anna Wright Montgomery, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 21, 2025.

Martin Montgomery was born on December 8th, 1967. He was a loving father who enjoyed fishing, football, but mentioned football is totally different now than it was back in the day, crossword puzzles, and spending time with family and friends. During his last days, Martin enjoyed watching old western shows, playing Connect 4 with family members and nurses, and laughing about life’s memories.

He is survived by his children, Tristan Montgomery of San Antonio, TX, Meisean Montgomery of San Antonio, TX, Da’Shanta Georgianna Montgomery of Blythewood, and SyDarius Montgomery of Blythewood; grandchildren, Rosemary, Ava, and Joanna Montgomery and a grand-dog, Apollo Montgomery; sister, Delores Montgomery of Bishopville; brother, Gerald Montgomery (Barbara) of West Columbia; and two adopted brothers, Irvin Salmon and Bishop William Jenkins.

Other than his parents, Martin was predeceased by his brother, Casey Montgomery and sister, Danielle Montgomery.
