Mary Polson

Mary Godwin “Bobbie” Polson, 90, passed away on Sunday, October 20, 2024.  Born in Camden, SC, she was the daughter of the late James Quincy Godwin and Emmie Elliott Godwin and was the widow of John L. Polson.  Bobbie was a member of Malvern Hill Baptist Church.  She was the family caretaker and loved gardening.

Bobbie is survived by her daughter, Beverly ‘Sam” Polson; son, Warren Polson; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and sisters, Jean Roberts and Delores Cater.

In addition to her parents and husband, Bobbie was predeceased by her brother, Joseph Quincy Godwin, and sister, Janet Curry.

A private family service will be held at a later date.

Kornegay Funeral Home, Camden Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
