Mary Elizabeth Humphries

Funeral services for Mary Elizabeth Elliott Humphries will be held at 4:00 PM on Sunday, February 8, 2026 at Wateree Baptist Church, 2024 Haile Street, Camden.  Reverend Taylor Wells will officiate.  Burial in the church cemetery will follow.  Visitation with family will occur one hour prior to the service, from 3:00-4:00.  Memorials may be made to the Wateree Baptist Church, 2024 Haile Street, Camden, SC 29020.

Elizabeth passed away on Monday, February 2, 2026.  Born in Bethune, SC, she was the daughter of the late Boyd Elliott and Zulene Therell Elliott.  Elizabeth was the widow of Frank L. Humphries, Sr.

Elizabeth is survived by her daughter, Mary Jane Jones (Neal); grandchildren, Richard Wayne Neal, II (Pate) and Tara F. Jackson (Jon); and great-grandchildren, Cobie Landon Jackson, Richard Wayne “Tripp” Neal, III, and Sarah Matheson Neal.

In addition to her husband and parents, Elizabeth is predeceased by her sons, Frank L. Humphries, Jr., and Mark Elliott Humphries; daughter, Deborah C. Humphries, brother, H.C. Robinson, and sister, Sarah Ridley.
