Nan Shugart

Nan Jeraldine “Jeri” Baker Shugart, 86, died on November 12, 2024. She was the daughter of the late D.J. and Martha Ella Farmer Baker. Memorials may be made in honor of Jeri  to Tunnels to Towers at t2t.org/donate/, or Shriners Children’s Hospital at donate.lovetotherescue.org.

Jeri was a member of various United Methodist churches.  She was an artist, dancer, seamstress, selfless volunteer, and a longtime army wife.  Jeri was awarded the Military Wife of the Year while her husband was stationed in Europe.

Jeri is survived by her children. Debbie Pastush, of Columbia, David Shugart, of Woodstock, GA; granddaughter, Jennifer Harvey (John Pauley), of Elgin; great-granddaughter, Danielle Johnson, of Texas; siblings, Joe Baker, of Florida, Mary Sue Chapin, of Florida, and various nieces and nephews.

Other than her parents and husband, Henry Gerald Shugart, Jeri was predeceased by her brothers, Jack Baker and John Paul Bennett.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
