Nancy Catherine Wright Wise

A funeral service to celebrate the life of Nancy Catherine Wright Wise, 98, of Camden, will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, July 23, 2021 at St. Timothy’s Lutheran Church. Pastor Roy Butler will officiate. Burial will follow the service at Quaker Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 22, 2021 from 6:00 – 7:00 PM at Kornegay Funeral Home, Camden Chapel.

Memorials may be made to St. Timothy’s Church, 1301 Mill Street, Camden, SC 29020.

Nancy died on Sunday, July 18, 2021. Born in Bridgewater, VA, she was the daughter of the late David H. and Delphia Miller Wright, and wife of the late Harold Lake Wise.

She is survived by her sons, H. Lake Wise (Carolyn Ellis) of Brooklyn, NY and Gregory A. Wise (Sarah) of Alexandria, VA; daughter Catherine Palmer (Carl) of Atlanta, GA; grandchildren, Nancy, Carolyn, Burke, William, Gregory, Frederick, Joseph, Thomas, Adelaide, and Elizabeth; great-grandchildren James, Harold, and Benjamin; and sister, Patricia Clough of Lynchburg, VA.

In addition to her parents and husband, Nancy was predeceased by her brothers, D. H. , Rudolph, Norwood, and John Wright.

Kornegay Funeral Home, Camden Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
