Nancy Carlton Wylie

Memorial services for Nancy Carlton Wylie, 82, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at Grace Episcopal Church, 1315 Lyttleton Street, Camden, SC. Interment will follow in the Memorial Garden. A visitation will be held from 4-6 p.m. Friday, September 5, 2025, at Kornegay Funeral Home Camden Chapel, 1112 Fair Street, Camden, SC. Memorials may be made to Grace Episcopal Church or King Haigler Garden Club c/o ME Gordon, 310 Laurens Street, Camden, SC 29020.

Nancy departed this life in faith and love on August 24, 2025. She was born July 1, 1943, to the late Robert Clement Carlton and Sara Lee Carlton.  She was married to the late William Patrick “Pat” Wylie for 52 years.  Nancy received a B.A. from Furman University in Elementary Education in 1965 and later earned a Master's Degree in Elementary Guidance and Counseling from the University of South Carolina in 1978.

Nancy is survived by her children, Carlton C. Wylie (Kim), of Greenville, Beth Wylie Poag (Charlie), of Sumter; grandchildren, Holly and Jack Poag; brothers, David L. Carlton, of Nashville, and Robert C. Carlton, Jr., of Grand Rapids, MI; niece, Emma Carlton Carlisle (Don); nephew, Sam Carlton (Laura), and great-nieces, Nora, Claire, and Cate.

Other than her parents and husband, Nancy was predeceased by her sister-in-law, Connie Plourde Carlton.
