Norma Cross Hofmeister

Norma Arlene Cross Hofmeister, 98, of Laurens, SC passed away January 23, 2021. She was born June 22, 1922, in Warren, OH. She was the oldest child of Rhoderick and Mildred Miller Cross and the wife of Herman F. Hofmeister. She spent the last 10 years in Laurens, but previous to this was a long time resident of Camden, SC.

As a young person Norma had a strong love for God, which motivated her to dedicate her life to Him, becoming a Jehovah’s Witness. This dedication led her to devote her life to help others come to know Him, over a 79 year period, in numerous states in the U.S.

Her loving husband of 32 years, Herman F. Hofmeister, whom she married on January 28, 1944, died February 8, 1976.

Surviving is her younger brother, Charles (Barbara) Cross of Fishkill, NY and 12 nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews.

Norma was predeceased by three sisters; Jeanette Zimmer and Jean Tuttle (twins) and Helen Ganyard and four brothers; George, Raymond, Floyd and Douglas Cross.
