Owen Vincent Marrin

Owen Vincent Marrin, age 82, died on Sunday, August 25, 2024.  He was born in Rockville Center, NY to the late William and Agnes Elberfeld Marrin.  He was predeceased by his wife, Victoria Balls Marrin.

Owen spent his career in insurance, helping individuals and small businesses navigate a complex sea of risks.  “Papa” was a loving father and grandfather.  He was generous of his time and spirit.  He made an indelible mark on the hearts of those who knew him, and he will be greatly missed.

Owen is survived by his children, Owen Marrin, Jr. (Karmen), of Pompton Plains, NJ, Jeanne Simpson (Jay), of Nokomis, FL, Susan Gil (Keith), of Gainesville, FL, Christopher Marrin (Lisa), of Columbia, SC; Laura LeMar (Matthew), of Oyster Bay, NY; grandchildren, Kelsey, Thomas, Dylan, Nora, Keith, Annabelle, Theresa, Emma, and James; siblings, William Marrin, Daniel Marrin, Mary Giallorenzi, Steve Marrin, Joan Smith, Michael Marrin, and Ellen McGregor.  Owen was predeceased by brother, John Marrin.

The funeral service will be held at the Marrin family plot at Holy Cross Cemetery in Brooklyn, NY at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, October 15, 2024.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
