Patricia Lampton

Patricia Metcalf Lampton of Lugoff, SC, passed away December 28, 2020. Patricia was born on November 10, 1937 in New York City. She was predeceased by her parents Manton Bradley, Jr. and Isabella Goff Metcalf, her brothers Richard Metcalf and Manton Metcalf, III and her loving companion, Robert C. Bradley.

Patricia is survived by her daughter Julie M. Lampton and her son Robert B. Lampton (Debbie).

Affectionally known as “Gunky” to her grandchildren: Chad Lampton (Kealey), Trevor Lampton, step grandchildren Elizabeth Allen, William Allen (Hilary), Jeffrey Allen (Katherine), and Caroline Allen Lampton as well as 10 great grandchildren.

She attended Foxcroft Boarding School and Radcliffe University. Patricia loved the farm she owned and managed and her vast array of animals. She was an equally ardent lover of classical music, USC School of Music, Aspen Musical Festival, and traveling to New York to attend symphonies and operas. She was an avid reader with an amazing vocabulary. She was known as a strong and independent woman and revered for her spirit and generosity. She will be greatly missed.

A private memorial service will be scheduled at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that donations be made to: Opera at USC School of Music, 813 Assembly Street, Columbia, S.C 29208.
