Richard Moore

Graveside services for Richard Thomas “Dickie” Moore will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, July 11, 2025, at McLeod Chapel Church, 274 McLeod Chapel Road, Rembert, SC.  Pastor Debra Anderson-Joe will officiate.

Richard was born on January 19, 1953, in Joanna, SC, the second son of John I. Moore and Hazel Adams Moore.  He died peacefully on July 4, 2025.  He was predeceased by his parents and is survived by his brother, John I. Moore, Jr. (Kayran) of Charleston, SC.

Richard was called “Dickie” by those who knew him when he was young, but he preferred “Richard” as he got older.  For most of his adult life he was under the supervision of the caring staff at Lee County Disabilities and Special Needs Board.  His greatest pleasures in life usually revolved around food and soft drinks, especially Coca‑Colas.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to McLeod Chapel Church at the address given above.
