Richard Pinkerton

Memorial services for Richard Albert “Rich” Pinkerton, 88, will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, June 28, 2024 at Grace Episcopal Church, 1315 Lyttleton Street, Camden. Rev. Pickett Wall will officiate.  A visitation will be held on Thursday, June 27, 2024, from 6:00-7:00 PM at Kornegay Funeral Home, Camden Chapel.  Memorials may be made to Camden Lions Club, PO Box 587, Camden, SC 29021.

Rich Pinkerton passed away on June 22, 2024.  He was born in East Liverpool, OH, the son of the late Raymond E. Pinkerton and Daisy Marie Heverly Pinkerton.  Rich was a United States Marine Corps Veteran and retired from Union Carbide where he was a chemical operator. After retirement Rich worked for Blake and Ford for many years.   He was a member of Grace Episcopal Church, the Camden Lions Club and the Elks Club. 

Rich is survived by his wife, Lola Lee Ice Pinkerton; children, Sandra “Sandy” Pinkerton (Craig Wetterman) of Dublin, OH, and Cynthia “Cindy” Back (Kevin) of Middletown, OH, and Richard Wayne “Rick” Pinkerton (Darryl) of Columbus, OH.

Rich is predeceased by sisters, Virginia McKain and Sandra Thomas; and brothers, Paul Pinkerton, Charlie Pinkerton, Bobby Pinkerton, Tom Pinkerton, and Raymond Pinkerton.

Rich would always be recognized by his yellow yardstick suspenders.
