Robert Steven Smith

Funeral services for Robert Steven Smith, 71, will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, December 30, 2023 at Kornegay Funeral Home, Camden Chapel, 1112 Fair Street, Camden. Visitation with family will be held one hour prior to the service, from 1:00-2:00 PM at Kornegay Funeral Home.  Burial at Forest Lawn Memorial Park will follow.  Brent Bishop will officiate.  Memorials may be made to Food For The Soul, 110 A East DeKalb Street, Camden, SC 29020, or United Way, 110 E East DeKalb Street, Camden, SC 29020.

Robert died on Wednesday, December 20, 2023.  Born in Camden, he was the son of the late Mary Peach Smith and Walter Frank Smith, Jr.

Robert is survived by his sister, Kathy S. Sanders (Timmy) of Camden; brother, Joel Smith of Camden;   adopted daughter, Darlene Smith of Summerville; step-daughter, August Hicks Burns of Hartsville; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Robert was predeceased by his daughter, Tammy Gale Smith, and his brother, David Roger Smith.
