Sanford "Sandy" Glynn

Sanford (Sandy) Glynn died March 23, 2026. The daughter of the late Mabel and Tommy Glynn, Sandy was born on December 7, 1937, and grew up in Westport, Connecticut. Widely known as an extraordinary horsewoman in the showring and on the racetrack, she was also an accomplished artist. Sandy and her late husband, Ed Sweeney, lived for many years on a small horse farm they built outside of Camden, South Carolina.

Sandy is survived by her daughter, Shannon V. Woolfe and her husband, Robert Ingram, and a brother, Michael Glynn.

She will be missed by a multitude of friends, far and wide, who knew and loved Sandy for her kindness, sense of humor, talent and humanity. She was the best.

Sandy requested no service, only a gathering of friends at her barn to send her off.
