William Prather, Jr.

William “Billy” Prather, Jr., husband of Karen Williams Prather, died on Tuesday, January 2, 2024.

Billy was born in Savannah, GA, son of the late Elizabeth Hammond Prather and William Alonza Prather, Sr.

In addition to his wife, Billy is survived by his son, Brad Prather (Lexi) of Lewisville, NC; step-son, Justin Dill (Sara) and their son, Grayson, of Camden; granddaughters, Ryan, Morgan, and Madison Prather; and sisters, Rebecca P. Touchberry, Gail P. Wyant, and Tammy P. Frost (Ricky), all of Camden.

Billy was predeceased by his brother, Elliott Lee "Pete" Prather.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 12:30 PM on Saturday, January 13, 2024 at the SC Equine Park, 443 Cleveland School Road, Camden.  Memorials may be made to Danny and Ron’s Rescue at dannyronsrescue.org, or to the SC Quarter Horse Youth Association at SCQHA, c/o Nichole Veasey, 125 John Deere Road, Westminster, SC 29693.
