William Rawlings Weir

Graveside funeral services for William Rawlings Weir, 91, will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, at Quaker Cemetery, 713 Meeting Street, Camden.  Rev. John Hallman will officiate.  A visitation will be held from 12:30 – 1:30 PM on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, at Kornegay Funeral Home, Camden Chapel.  Memorials may be made to Bethesda Presbyterian Church, 502 E. William, husband of Doris Nell Branham Weir, died on Saturday, September 7, 2024.   Born in Chester, SC, he was the son of the late Harvey Weir and Ruth Speck Weir.  William was a former Manager for Westvaco.

In addition to his wife, William is survived by his son, William Rawlings ‘Chip” Weir, Jr. (Annette) of Camden.

In addition to his parents, William was predeceased by his brothers, Thomas Weir and Charles S. Weir.
