Funeral services for William “Bill” Earl McKinney, Jr., 72, will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at Kornegay Funeral Home, Lugoff-Elgin Chapel, 1139 Highway 1 South, Lugoff, SC. Jeffrey Branham will officiate.  Graveside services to follow at Greenhaven Memorial Gardens, 11020 Two Notch Road, Elgin, SC 29045.  A visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, from 10-11:00 AM at Kornegay Funeral Home, Lugoff-Elgin Chapel.  Memorials may be made to Kershaw County Human Society, 128 Black River Road, Camden, SC, 29020.

Bill passed away on Wednesday, June 17, 2026. He was born in Chester, SC, the son of the late William Earl McKinney, Sr. and the late Benny Jo Strickland McKinney.

Bill is survived by his wife of 52 years, Elizabeth “Libby” Campbell McKinney, of Elgin; children, Melinda “Mindy” McKinney, of Elgin, Heather McKinney Branham (Jeff), of Mt. Pleasant, William Earl McKinney, III, of Willow Springs, NC; grandsons, Campbell Branham, Jackson McKinney, Jake Branham, Hank Branham, and Wyatt McKinney.

Active Pallbearers: William McKinney, III, Jeff Branham, Kenny Campbell, Tim Campbell, Campbell Branham, Jackson McKinney, Bill Smith, and Jason Stewart.

Honorary Pallbearers: Jake Branham, Hank Branham, and Wyatt McKinney.
