It's hard to know where to begin. My mom had been in assisted living for 18 months in Camden and had fallen out of her wheelchair and hit her head on the floor. She had a small brain bleed but at 84 it was a big deal. She was at Prism Health in Columbia for over 2 weeks. I had done no pre-planning prior to this hospitalization. We were in shock and so lost when she passed on March 11. Everyone at Kornegay was so much help and so compassionate with us. It was a difficult time but they made it a lovely experience. We saw Jerry the day after my mom passed to set everything up and he was so nice and kind. Cindy & Sharon in the office were wonderful. Van & Grainger called me several times to clarify what we wanted for the service. Van and Joe drove our Mama from Camden to the cemetery in Spartanburg SC to be joined with our Dad. They brought minister Rev Mark Hopkins from Hermitage Baptist in Camden to assist with the service with them. It was a beautiful service. You will be in good hands if you call the Kornegay's when you need them. They handled every little detail. Thank you to everybody at Kornegay Funeral Home for helping us through this sad journey.
